Flash Forward

FlashForward is a science-fiction television series currently in production by ABC Studios for the 2009–2010 television season for ABC. It is based on the 1999 Prix Aurora Award-winning novel Flashforward by Canadian science fiction writer Robert J. Sawyer. With the end of Lost in 2010, ABC Studios hopes it will be a companion series to the show during its sixth and final season.

In May 2009, ABC picked up FlashForward for thirteen episodes. In the United States, these episodes will begin airing on Thursdays, starting September 24, 2009, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern / 7:00 p.m. Central . In Canada, episodes will be simultaneously shown on A (owned by CTV). The show is set to air on RTE Television in the Republic of Ireland as part of its fall/winter season 2009. The show will air on Five in the UK and will begin on Mondays from September 28, 2009, four days behind the US. In Belgium, the show is set to air on BeTV 8 days after the US diffusion. During June 2009 Australia's Seven Network began running teaser ads referring to the show - it will premiere September 28th on Seven Network. In Italy, the show will be aired on Fox on Mondays from October 5 2009. In Portugal, the show will be aired on AXN starting October 7, 2009 according to a currently running teaser. In Russia, the show will be aired on Channel One starting September, 2009.

On ABC, the show inherits the timeslot held by Ugly Betty in the 2006-2009 season.
